We are excited to announce that National Rugby League Asia has joined the ‘Yes She Matters’ Campaign and is now an official partner of Global Alms Incorporated.
Global Alms officially launched the ‘Yes She Matters’ Campaign in December 2017 to help women in Asia. The ‘Yes She Matters’ program provides women an opportunity, no matter their race, religion or documented status, to receive immediate help if they have been raped, sexually assaulted, abused or caught in domestic violence.
The Global Alms team offers professional training options for survivors in Reality Based Self Defence; with staff qualified as Specialist NGO/RBSD Instructors certified through Modern Defensive Tactics Australia, endorsed by the World Combat Association. The team also specialise in child trauma as International Accredited Trainers in National Children At Risk Training through Janette Pepall.
The NRL Asia brand is a new and evolving one working in under privileged regions of Asia with a sport and healthy life choices message. “We are delighted to partner with NRL Asia. We value their vision and know that together we can work towards changing circumstances for men and women here in Asia both domestically and in the sports arena”, says Mechelle Moore, CEO at Global Alms Incorporated.
“We were highly impressed with the work the Global Alms team were doing on the front line in a region ravaged by human traffickers and exploitation of men, women and children. We are proud to support Mechelle and her hard-working team. In fact, this year’s Cabra International 9’s jersey will pay respect to the often-dangerous work combating the human trafficking networks”, says Peter Thompson, Vice Chairman at NRL Asia.
The ‘Yes She Matters’ Campaign will be our first joint project together and more details will follow this week of how you can help.
